Mat Fundamentals
The Mat repertoire is the core of the Pilates method emphasizing the fundamentals while providing a great workout. Currently our Mat classes use magic circles, balls, rollers, and thera-bands for the session.
Mat/Springboard Classes
The Springboard enables students to enhance their Mat work by adding resistance. This piece of equipment enables an instructor to add more variety to exercises for a more exciting class. Currently we offer a Mat/Springboard combo classes.
Pilates Ball Class
The Pilates Ball Class uses the Mat repertoire and enhances the work by adding Pilates exercise balls to the class to make it more challenging. This is a great way to work on strength, balance and stability.
Sports Conditioning Class
Studio D's Pilates based core conditioning class focusses on strength, balance, flexibility, agility, and coordination. This class will involve repetition and circuit training using weight and spring resistance, Pilates equipment, Reformer Jumpboard, and exercise balls.
Group Pilates Classes
While individual Pilates appointments will be offered, we encourage most people to participate in a group setting. This allows our clients a long term solution to physical health at a reasonable cost. Our approach is a whole body workout that connects mind, body, and spirit.
Private Pilates Session
Individual Pilates instruction will be offered by appointment. Proper body alignment and postural stability are essential to the practice of Pilates. Since personalized feedback is often necessary to achieve this, private instruction is the most effective way to practice and perfect skills. This service is also available for people who have injures and need extra attention until they are strong enough to be put into a group classes, or those who do not feel comfortable in a class setting. We have an Exo Wunda Chair, a Reformer, and Springboards to enhance their workout.
Duets/Trios
If you have a hard time getting motivated, Duet or Trio sessions with friends or co-workers may be just what you are looking for. This setting is more personalized than a group class with more direct one- on- one attention. Call to set up appointments at your group's convenience.
Holistic Healing Through Movement
Holistic Healing is a natural way of healing individuals through movement without modalities. This allows the individual to learn proper movement patterns for everyday life, personal recreation, and general health. This is primarily done in Private Sessions where the practitioner works on the individual’s imbalances to create stability in the body. These sessions are good for everyone, however injured individuals can benefit from the specific exercises given, eventually leading towards strength, balance, and coordination
Floor Space
Floor space can be rented to teach dance, yoga, and Pilates. The space can also be rented for performance events. The rate will depend on the length and type of event. Pricing for fundraising and special events is available upon request.
Off-Site instruction
Off-site traveling to individual’s homes or businesses for private instruction or group classes can be arranged. Additional fees depending on traveling distance may be assessed.
